Please use caution or call ahead for current information. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">Jeffco Open Space Usable Trails and Routes</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>JCOS developed a working group to improve usability, increase public awareness, and allow for outdoors for all. "Usable Trails" remove barriers, such as rocks or steep slopes, and increases width or smooth surface area so they can be enjoyed by those on a mobility device. JCOS is committed to expanding our Usable Trails by identifying existing trails that can be modified, continuing trail maintenance where needed, organizing on-going volunteer projects, and working with the community of people experiencing disabilities to enhance their outdoor adventures. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;">What are Usable Trails ?</SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Usable trails are those that don’t meet ADA requirements, but through the consultation and collaboration of people with disabilities, have been constructed or modified to accommodate continuously evolving adaptive devices. Like any trail, Usable Trails vary in their technical difficulty and skill level requirement.
