Supported Query Formats: JSON

Supports Query Data Elements:

Layers: Description: Description: These data represent the trails owned and managed by JCOS.Data Type: LineSensitive: NoSource of Origin: JCOSCreation Means: JCOS creates and maintains trail data through a combination of GPS data collection, heads-up digitizing, and a combination of the two methods.Original Projection: NAD_1983_StatePlane_Colorado_Central_FIPS_0502_Feet (WKID: 2232)Data are updated frequently. Please refer to the 'LAST_EDITED_DATE' field for the date the data were last edited.Data are the basis of a Linear Referencing System. When editing, corresponding events tables must be edited if any change to geometry has occurred or if the USER_TYPE or CONCEPT attributes have been updated.Business Rules:1. Features are segmented by trail name, at intersections, and where Park Association changes (indicated by Park Association_FK field).2. A new GIS_ID_PK is created for each new segment.3. A new GIS_ID_PK is created for one new segment resulting from a split, one feature will retain original GIS_ID_PK. Prior to splitting features, consult with AMS to determine which feature should retain the original GIS ID.4. Fully attribute Trail_Difficulty_Rating, User_Type, and Concept fields (no Nulls).5. Trail junctions with 'triangles' must contain vegetation within the triangle. Otherwise, the intersection will be a 'T'.6. Data in CONCEPT field with a value of 'Yes': These segments are included in the Trails data for use in the JCOS Asset Management System (AMS) as a means to record labor and material costs to trail segments that should not be included in park or system-wide trail mileage calculations. Examples include, but are not limited to: segments currently being constructed and are not yet adopted as official Trails; segments within parking areas; segments to restrooms or picnic areas directly adjacent to parking areas. The name of the field, 'CONCEPT', was chosen initially to indicate trails that were not yet built. However, the field purpose has expanded to the definition above.7. The INSTALL_DATE field indicates the date a feature was added to the trail system. Examples include the date an Unauthorized Trail was adopted into the system or the date construction was completed on a trail segment. This information will come directly from the Trails Team. This field will only carry forward to AMS and should not be included in any public-facing data.Guidelines:1. Avoid trail segments shorter than 15 feet.2. Digitization direction should be outward from the main trailhead.
